My goal is to run a 5k in less than 24 minutes. I’ve set a serious of mini-goals because I’m starting about as far away from being able to run a 5k as possible. I don’t have any time frame in mind, I just want to enjoy myself as I reach my goal.
Mini-Goal #1
- Run 10 minutes without stopping at a 4.0 mph speed
- Run 30 seconds at an 8-minute mile pace (7.8 mph)
Achieved: November 15, 2012
Mini-Goal #2
- Run 15 minutes without stopping at a 4.0 mph speed
- Run 1 minute at an 8-minute mile pace (7.8 mph) speed
Here’s a great video on running form. It helped improve a lot over the past few weeks.
